I'm trying to recall the other name for the probit model. I know it has another commonly used term, but I can't seem to remember it. Can you help me out with this?
Probit regression, a statistical technique also known as the probit model, is a powerful tool for analyzing dichotomous or binary outcome variables. It is particularly useful in situations where the dependent variable can only take on two possible values, such as success or failure, yes or no, and so on.

The probit model works by modeling the inverse standard normal distribution of the probability of the dependent variable taking on a particular value as a linear combination of the predictor variables. This approach allows researchers to estimate the probability of the outcome occurring based on the values of the predictor variables.

One of the key advantages of the probit model is its ability to handle non-linear relationships between the dependent and independent variables. Unlike some other regression models, the probit model does not assume that the relationship between the variables is linear, making it more flexible and applicable to a wider range of data.

Another advantage of the probit model is its ability to handle categorical predictor variables. This means that researchers can include variables such as gender, race, or other categorical factors in their models, allowing them to examine the impact of these factors on the dependent variable.
