I'm working on an electrical circuit problem and I need to find out the maximum current in an RLC circuit. I have the values for resistance, inductance, and capacitance, but I'm not sure how to calculate the maximum current. What is the maximum current in RLC?

Consequently, in a circuit consisting of a voltage source, a resistor (R), a capacitor, and an inductor, the maximum current that can Flow after an infinite amount of time is determined solely by the resistance of the resistor. This is because the capacitor effectively blocks the DC current, while the inductor allows it to pass unhindered.

Therefore, the maximum current can be calculated using Ohm's law, which states that the current through a resistor is equal to the voltage across it divided by its resistance. In this case, the voltage is 100V, and the resistance is R, so the maximum current is 100V/R.

In electrical engineering, the behavior of circuits is greatly influenced by the components used, including capacitors (C) and inductors (L). When analyzing such circuits under direct current (DC) conditions, it is often assumed that these components behave ideally.

Under this assumption, capacitors are considered to have an infinite resistance as time approaches infinity, meaning they do not allow DC current to flow through them. On the other hand, inductors are assumed to have zero resistance under DC, allowing current to flow freely.
