I have an Amex gift card and I'm wondering if there's a way to convert it to cash instead of using it for purchases. Is this possible and if so, how can I do it?

This card is exclusively for use at merchants located in Canada and the United States.

The merchants must accept American Express Cards as a form of payment.

Cruise lines and casinos are not included in the list of acceptable merchants.
