What is the Húsavík exhibition about?

The exhibition will celebrate the song contest and its 65 year history as well as the Story of Fire Saga, set in our beautiful Húsavík. The building houses three exhibitions. The first one tells the story of Söngvakeppnin, Iceland’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest.

What was it like to visit the Eurovision Museum in Husavik?

It was amazing to experience the opening of the first part of the Eurovision Museum in Husavik. I am very proud of the people there to pull it off in such a great manner and I am certain that Eurovision fans from all over the world will love to visit once the full museum is up and running.

What else is there to do in Húsavík?

There is, however, a substantial number of other activities and things to do in Húsavík! Húsavík is in the North of Iceland. It’s roughly an hour-drive away from Akureyri, the capital of Northern Iceland. The perfect conditions for whale watching have put Húsavík on the map as the whale watching capital of Iceland.

Who is supporting the Eurovision Museum in Iceland?

And now the museum has gotten the support of the Icelandic government, who granted the soon-to-be opened Eurovision museum a grant of 2,000,000 ISK (around 13,000 EUR) for the financial preparations. Other collaborators for the project are the Húsavík Chamber of Commerce and Tourism, RÚV, EBU, and Netflix.
