I'm wondering if Interactive Brokers (IBKR) charges a monthly fee for inactivity on their platform. I'd like to know if I'll be penalized for not making trades every month.

Effective July 1, 2021, a significant alteration has been introduced to our account policies, alleviating the burden of monthly inactivity fees for the majority of our account holders.

Prior to this adjustment, accounts that failed to maintain a minimum balance or engage in transaction activity were subject to a USD 10 charge. However, with the recent update, this fee has been eliminated.
