I noticed a $1 USD charge from PayPal on my account and I'm wondering why they would do that. Is it a fee for something specific or just a random charge? I'd like to understand the reason behind this charge. Why does PayPal charge $1 USD?

To ensure the validity of a card added or edited in a PayPal account, a small verification charge of up to $1 USD is applied.
