I'm wondering if Coinbase, the cryptocurrency exchange platform, supports SegWit addresses. SegWit is an important upgrade to the Bitcoin network, and I want to know if Coinbase has implemented it.

Upon tapping 'Receive', users are given the option to select Bitcoin as the cryptocurrency they wish to receive. This ensures that the generated address is specific to Bitcoin.

Coinbase Wallet is designed to support both modern and older Bitcoin address formats. This includes newer SegWit addresses, which offer lower transaction fees.

In addition to SegWit addresses, Coinbase Wallet also supports Legacy addresses. This is to ensure backwards compatibility with all applications that may still be using the older address format.
