Bitcoin for a while and recently decided to get more involved. However, I came across the term 'legacy Bitcoin address' and I'm not sure what it means. Can someone explain what a legacy Bitcoin address is?

During the initial phase of Bitcoin's existence, legacy addresses were widely adopted.

These addresses are generated by taking a hash160 of the public key.
