Why can't we drill to Earth's core?
I've always been curious about Earth's inner structure, specifically the core. I wonder why, with all our advanced technology, we still can't drill down to the core. Is it because of the extreme conditions there or are there other reasons that make it impossible?

Is drilling a hole in a coin illegal?
I'm wondering if it's illegal to drill a hole through a coin. I've seen some coins with holes in them and I'm curious if this is something that's allowed by law or if it's considered defacement or damage to currency.
