Can I send BTC to BNB?

I'm just a bit confused here. Could you please clarify for me? I've been hearing a lot about cryptocurrencies lately and I'm trying to wrap my head around it. So, my question is, can I send Bitcoin (BTC) directly to a Binance Coin (BNB) wallet? I mean, are they compatible in that way? Or do I need to convert the BTC to BNB first before sending it? And if that's the case, what's the best way to do that? I'm really new to this and I don't want to make any mistakes. Thanks in advance for your help! Can I send BTC to BNB?
