The oldest coin in the world is a topic of interest for many. While the oldest metal coins are believed to be from the ancient city of Ephesus in Turkey, the oldest coin mint, or workshop, has been discovered in Central China's Henan Province. This workshop, dating back to around 640-550 BC, was confirmed through radiocarbon dating and excavated revealing finished coins, coin molds, and other related relics.
