I am wondering if it is considered illegal to take a screenshot of sheet music. I want to capture an image of a piece of music for personal use, but I'm not sure if this violates any copyright laws.
When it comes to sheet music, individuals may photocopy a page or two for personal educational use, which is generally considered fair use. However, this does not extend to wholesale duplication of entire scores.
