Can Bitcoin be infinitely mined?

I've been hearing a lot about Bitcoin recently and I'm curious to know if it can be infinitely mined. I understand that it's a digital currency, but does it have a limit like other physical resources? Or can we continue to mine Bitcoin indefinitely? Can Bitcoin be infinitely mined?
