I'm rather new to the realm of cryptocurrencies and have been exploring the various tokens and blockchains out there. I've come across ERC20 tokens, which I understand are built on the Ethereum blockchain. Now, I'm wondering, if I have an Ethereum address, can I use it to receive ERC20 tokens? It seems logical to me that since ERC20 tokens operate on the Ethereum network, my Ethereum wallet address should be compatible with receiving them. However, I want to be absolutely certain before I proceed with any transactions. Could you clarify this for me? It would be greatly appreciated if you could provide a definitive answer to this question.
