I heard that the 1975 quarter is quite rare and valuable. I'm wondering why is it so special? Is it because of its mintage, the historical events of that year, or some other reasons? Could someone explain the rarity of this coin to me?

The Washington Quarters did not initially feature the year "1975" on them. This was due to the production of the "1776-1976" Bicentennial coins, which took place during the calendar years of 1975 and 1971.
