The project combines former State Department officials, technology entrepreneurs and former military personnel who can mobilize quickly after the recent refugee situation in Afghanistan. In Ukraine and Poland, the local mkmre team has a supply chain network of more than 20 million US dollars and logistics materials available for purchase. They only need to raise funds to directly inject medical packages and rations into the places where they are most needed.

Some notable supporters are investor Tim Draper and a member of oculus’s founding team, including technology co-founder Michael Antonov. Former astronaut Terry verts also participated as a core team member to help build connections, raise funds and provide a connection point for the organization. Ukraine’s decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) is an NFT collection on the Ethereum blockchain (ETH). Nadya toloknnikova founded the organization with members of pleasrdao and Tippy lab. Together, they raised 2188 eth, equivalent to 5.5 million yuan. The sale took place at a public auction where people could participate in a joint bid to own the Ukrainian flag NFTs. All participants received ERC tokens, but each donation was different. Some people get erc-20 tokens, others get more. However, the most important part of the auction is to raise funds, which will go directly into the pockets of Ukrainian humanitarian NGOs.

Cryptocurrency and the Future of Humanitarian Assistance
