In addition to adopting Bitcoin for Emirates and tverse. The recent adjustment of the cryptocurrency market has not prevented some of the largest industry participants from accepting Bitcoin. Emirates, one of the major airlines in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), said it planned to increase Bitcoin as a payment service.

Adel Ahmed al redha, chief operating officer of Emirates, announced the news in the Arab tourism market on May 12. Therefore, Emirates will appoint experts to study their customers’ cryptocurrency needs and requirements.

Interestingly, this announcement comes at a time when Bitcoin and the broader cryptocurrency market are facing a major collapse. After a serious adjustment earlier this week, Bitcoin has partially recovered and returned to more than $30000 again.

In addition to the adoption of Bitcoin, the aviation giant is also willing to test the water in the world of unforgeable tokens (NFTs). According to reports, Emirates will add NFT collections on its website home page. Allen Wei, Global CEO of lbank exchange, said on twitter.

“Emirates is planning to accept Bitcoin as a means of payment and launch NFT trading platform. Don’t let the decline of cryptocurrency scare you. The real adoption and transformation of cryptocurrency are increasing.”.

Emirates – Metaverse and NFT Program

Emirates is willing to go deep into the world of metauniverse and NFT. The company also revealed its same plan. Al redha, chief operating officer of Emirates, said in an interview with the local news publication Arab news that the company would hire more experts to build creative applications to meet the needs of customers. In addition, he explained the difference between Metaverse and NFTs.

“NFTs and Metaverse are two different applications and methods. With Metaverse, you will be able to transform your whole process – whether in operation, training, sales on the website, or complete experience – into Metaverse type applications, but more importantly, make it interactive.”

At present, there is no specific timetable when Emirates will begin to accept Bitcoin payment. But even now, given that Bitcoin has been revised by more than 50% in the past eight months, this may be a good move.

Bitcoin and the broader cryptocurrency market have entered a steep correction. As long as the US stock market remains under pressure, the recovery of cryptocurrency will be a distant dream.
