Google cloud is creating a team responsible for developing services for enterprise customers seeking to take advantage of blockchain technology. Google cloud is seeking to add staff to its blockchain team. Amit zavery, vice president of Gu Geyun, said in an email that the company’s cloud platform aims to be the first choice for developers working on Web3. He called Web3 a “market that has shown great potential” and said customers asked for greater support for Web3 and cryptocurrency.

In a statement to CNBC, zavery clarified that the Department “does not attempt to be directly part of the cryptocurrency wave”. Instead, it is providing companies with access to blockchain technology. In other words, the Department will provide blockchain as a service to enterprise users, enabling them to browse blockchain data or run blockchain nodes.

These services will be similar to those provided by large technology companies such as Alibaba, Amazon and former Microsoft, which ended its azure blockchain service last year. Reports from CNBC also show that James tromans, a former Citigroup executive who joined Google in 2019, will lead the blockchain team and report to zavery.
