Hyundai Motor Cooperated with Meta Kongz to Launch Community NFTs

South Korean carmaker Hyundai announced on April 17 that it was sneaking into the community NFTs market. In order to achieve this goal, the company is cooperating with NFT brand meta kongz. The announcement made Hyundai the first auto company to enter the community market.

According to the press release, the company also announced the launch of its channels on Twitter and discord and the upcoming launch of its website. Although twitter and discord channels have been launched, the website will be launched in May. Through these channels, the company plans to maintain communication with community members and even manage the value of its NFTs.

In addition, the carmaker released a short film about its metamobility universe for the first time. The company began talking about the metamobility universe during ces in January 2022. At that event, the car company shared its vision for the future, which is to use virtual reality technology to expand liquidity.

In the film, a gorilla character named meta Kong drives from the earth to the moon. It conceives how the mobile solution of meta space can help transcend time and space. The film also has a star NFT, which will be released in May.

Community NFT Provides Project Support for Hyundai’s Meta Mobility Program

Thomas schemera, Hyundai’s global chief marketing officer, said the company was pleased to introduce metamobility to its community through NFTs.
He continued, “NFT universe will expand the company’s brand experience in a new way, especially MZ generation, and further strengthen our commitment to innovation in the real world and metauniverse”.

The carmaker will release 30 limited edition NFTs on April 20 to celebrate the release of the short film. These releases will continue throughout the year, even as the modern car NFT universe continues to expand. As for profits, Hyundai plans to use all the profits from the sale of Hyundai NFT to manage the project and the community.

Unlike modern cars, some carmakers are also entering the market, but without their communities. For example, Mahindra, an Indian company, recently released its first set of NFTs. Italian carmaker Lamborghini also announced the launch of space themed art, called “space key”. Similarly, mclauren motors is working with infiniteworld to launch the NFT series using the brand’s luxury cars.
