Are beastcoins and Beastmen seals the same thing?

It's pretty obvious that beastcoins and beastmen seals are two different items. If the recipe calls for beastcoins, you use beastcoins, not seals. The items have two different names, therefore they are two different items with two different uses. I have about 36-40 Beast coins. And about 11 Silver beast coins and 34 Gold beast coins.

How rare are beastcoins?

Beastcoins are a VERY rare drop from windurstian goblins (only got it once) Silver beastcoins drop occasinally (uncommon but not super-rare) from yagudo in tahrongi canyon. Beastmen seals drop like raindrops. I never really bothered with them, my inventory being crowded as it is. I hear ya on dropping the seals.
