The gate of a MOSFET, or Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistor, is the control element that determines the conductivity of the channel between the source and drain. By applying voltage to the gate, the Flow of electrons through the channel can be modulated, allowing the MOSFET to function as a switch or amplifier in electronic circuits. What is a Mosfet gate?
