What is two-factor verification (2FA) and what is it used for?
BTCC Support2 years ago
1. What is two-factor verification?
Two-factor authentication (2FA) uses two different methods to authenticate identity, adding a verification code that is refreshed regularly.
2FA provides an additional layer of security for the account, preventing unauthorized access to users’ accounts on BTCC.
2. Two-factor authentication provided on BTCC
In addition to the account password, BTCC also provides the following 2FA methods:
Google Authenticator
After enabling Google Authenticator for your BTCC account, you will see a 6-digit verification code that changes every 30 seconds on the Google Authenticator app. This is the Google Authenticator code.
Mobile Number Verification
After binding your mobile number to your account, you can choose whether you want to enable withdrawal verification by mobile.
After it is enabled, you will need to enter a verification code that is sent to you by text when you withdraw your assets. Please input the code to proceed with the withdrawal process accordingly.
Email Verification
After binding your mobile number to your account, you can choose whether you want to enable withdrawal verification by email.
After it is enabled, you will need to enter a verification code that is sent to you by email when you withdraw your assets in the future. Please check your spam/junk mail folder if you cannot find the email in your inbox. Input the code to proceed with the withdrawal process accordingly.

Please make sure you have a thorough understanding of the industry, the leveraged trading models, and the rules of trading before opening a position. Additionally, we strongly recommend that you identify your risk tolerance and only accept the risks you are willing to take. All trading involves risks, so you must be cautious when entering the market.
